Yesterday, the State Auditor released its report, “State Water Resources Control Board, It Lacks the Urgency Necessary to Ensure That Failing Water Systems Receive Needed Assistance in a Timely Manner.” Assemblyman Vince Fong (R-Kern County) issued the following statement:
“The state is in a severe drought.
“The State Water Board, and the Governor, must do better for Californians in this crisis, especially when it comes to investing in needed water infrastructure.
“They need to operate with a sense of urgency. Livelihoods are at stake.”
