Assemblyman Vince Fong Hosts 5th Annual Free Pet Adoption at Kern County Animal Services

Many animals at the Kern County Animal Services are in need of loving homes. For the first 100 pet adoptions, all fees will be paid by Assemblyman Vince Fong (R-Central Valley).

“Loving pets at adoption centers are waiting for a forever home,” said Assemblyman Fong. “I know firsthand the love and support provided from a pet rescued from our shelters, and I encourage everyone to consider bringing a furry family member into your home.”

“Dogs, cats and other pets adopted from the adoption center will join their new families already spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and licensed,” added Assemblyman Fong.

Members of the public are encouraged to meet adoptable furry friends and learn about legislation impacting animal welfare at Kern County Animal Services, located at 3951 Fruitvale Avenue, Bakersfield, CA 93308.

The adoption event starts on Thursday, July 27 from 10am to 4pm and goes through Saturday, July 29 from 10am to 4pm.
